The Church We See
We see a church where people are learning how to follow Jesus together.
A church that feels like family. A place where friendships are formed around dinner tables, conversations continue throughout the week, and people genuinely know and care for one another. A church where life is shared, burdens are carried, and celebrations are enjoyed together.
We see a church where the presence of God is treasured. A people devoted to prayer because they understand that everything meaningful begins with Him. A church that welcomes the work of the Holy Spirit, believing He still transforms lives, empowers ordinary people, and leads us into the way of Jesus.
We see a church where discipleship is woven into everyday life. Around meals, in living rooms, on neighborhood walks, and in the ordinary moments that shape who we become. A church where people are honest about where they are, hopeful about where God is leading them, and committed to helping one another become more like Jesus.
We see a church that loves Gainesville. A church that learns the stories of its city, celebrates what is good, responds to what is broken, and serves faithfully. A church that believes the Gospel brings hope to every family, every neighborhood, every school, and every corner of community life.
We see a church where every follower of Jesus has a role to play. People discovering their gifts, opening their homes, serving their neighbors, and investing in others. A church marked by generosity, shared responsibility, and a deep commitment to God's mission.
We see a church that gathers with expectation and scatters with purpose. A church that worships together, prays together, learns together, and then carries the hope of Jesus into everyday life. A church that measures success by transformed lives, healthy disciples, and a city increasingly touched by the love of God.
Most of all, we see a church centered on Jesus.
Everything else flows from there.
As we learn to follow Him together, we believe He will shape us into people who love deeply, serve faithfully, and contribute meaningfully to the flourishing of our city.
This is the church we are becoming.
And by God's grace, this is the church we will build together.
